We are proud to be Indians. Thanks to our world-class educational infrastructure, 12 of the best universities in India have been ranked in the Top 100 World University Rankings of 2021. While MIT, USA remains in the first position, IIT Kharagpur has been ranked in the 44th position on the list. In addition, IIT Bombay Bombay has secured the 49th position, followed by IIT Delhi in the 54th position and IIT Madras in the 94th position.

This was hailed by the Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ who was delighted to see at least 12 Indian universities on the QS World Ranking list. It is definitely a great opportunity to find more and more Indian universities every year. Having 2 Indian universities in the top 50 list generates more aspirations to help our country improve its education system.

Pokhriyal also mentioned that 48% of university enrollments had female students. This also shows how progressive the country has become compared to yesteryear. The gender gap is surely being minimized, with a total enrollment of 48.6% of women.

In the Pharmacy category, Birla Institute of Technology (BITS) secured a place between 151st and 200th, along with the Manipal Academy of Higher Education.
