Zomato is one of the most popular food delivery and restaurant reward apps, based on Gurugram, Haryana. Founded by Deepinder Goyal, the company is prevalent in all Tier I, II and III cities of India and offers different kinds of food and groceries. Goyal recently posted a tweet on Twitter revealing that the company will also venture into the functional foods segment. This means that all health buffs can order dietary supplements on the go!

Zomato has more than 1.5 lakhs of delivery partners moving from one location to another in each city, every day. This would mean a big increase for the brand, which would mean stiff competition for portals such as HealthKart, where dietary supplements are an important part of the catalog.

Goyal mentions that all brands featured on the platform will be manufactured in India and will come with a 15 minute delivery guarantee. This also means that the company will partner with local medical stores to bring convenience to customers.

In fact, users are delighted to see how Zomato fits into this segment as well and makes life easier with just a few taps on the screen.

One user also highlighted the fact that more and more people will be willing to try the made in India brands rather than the expensive imported ones.

Deepinder also took the liberty of addressing his statement.

Surely there are quite a few Zomato sympathizers, and for good reason. The company has been serving the needs of all of its customers with timely deliveries, refunds, delivery deals, and dining experiences, and has partnered with some of the best restaurant chains in India.

We are excited to see the new brands available in this segment, on Zomato!
