To commemorate some childhood memories and make them timeless, this Hong Kong man decided to turn his old ferry into a beautiful new luxury yacht to relive the memories associated with it. Formerly known as the Golden Star, this ferry could hold up to 762 passengers. It operated from 1988 to 2011 after which it was sold at auction.
People can move mountains to relive memories, especially those associated with their childhood. So this Hong Kong man decided to buy back the ferry and make it triple its value to make it a luxury asset for his family.
The vessel is now 154 feet long and is located at the Leung Wan Kee Shipyard in Zhuhai, China. After restoring the ship, this man was available to give it a look and provide better amenities than a luxurious 5 or 7 star hotel. Check out the transformation below!
Now this yacht is called DOT and spans 6000 square feet. With numerous cabins that can accommodate at least 8 people, each room also comes with its own private shower. Wouldn’t you want to live here? If you think this was enough, DOT also offers a common space and office area along with a kitchen, a huge living room, a huge space with a 14-foot Christmas tree that is apparently the longest house they have in the country .
And did we mention that the DOT is currently in play? For just Rs. Rs 19.7 million, this luxurious service could be yours! You’d think this could increase your bills, but this Hong Kong builder was smart enough to install solar panels and battery backup to power the yacht. This is definitely what dreams are made of!
The owner who opts for anonymity transformed this place into a luxurious entity for his three children. He wanted to recreate the happy moments that they spent with them during their childhood with modern comforts, now that he had the opportunity.
It is not always about the money. It’s all about emotions and we salute this man for his initiative!
