Many of us have planned or thought about moving to a whole new city. For a better job opportunity or just to start a new life, a new city has a lot to offer. But the only problem we face is deciding the place. A prior understanding of the demographic and professional scope of a city is very important.
This article could help all those who are planning to move to a different city. According to the report ‘The state of India’s environment in figures 2021’ of the Science and Environment Center (CSE), Bengaluru is the most livable city in India.
Bangalore: the most livable city
According to the report, Bengaluru has a score of 78.82, which makes it the best city in terms of economic capacity. When it comes to the ease of living index, Bengaluru topped with a score of 66.7.

The report says that only one state capital (Bangalore) demonstrates decent economic capacity, scoring 78.82 out of 100. Four other state capitals (Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi) offer intermediate economic opportunities. The rest have scored less than 30 out of 100, according to the report.
In general, the state capitals of the country are believed to be the most developed and are also expected to have a higher index of life than the rest of the cities.
However, the CSE report has analyzed stated that only three state capitals in the country feature in the list of 10 most livable cities in India (according to the Ease of Living Index, 2020).
The CSE analysis says that although Indian cities have expanded rapidly, essential municipal services and economic and other opportunities have not “been able to keep up.”
