Apple Inc. has been known for its wacky product launch events over the years. The event is very often and generates a stir for days. However, the year 2020 and even 2021 have made these public events more of a virtual and pre-recorded broadcast. This has been done in accordance with coronavirus guidelines around the world.

Apple’s recent ‘Spring Loaded’ event was announced a week before the actual event. People were curious to understand what the CEO would reveal Tim cook, Senior Vice President of Software Engineering Craig Federighi and his team of engineers.

The highlight of the event was mainly the iPad Pro with a mini-LED screen, as well as the new redesigned iMac. Apple has also introduced a new podcast subscription service, a new Apple TV streaming box, a new purple color option for the iPhone 12, and more.

All-new iMac

According to Apple’s official press release, the new iMac features a much more compact and remarkably slim design, enabled by the M1 chip. The new iMac offers powerful performance in a design that is just 11.5 millimeters thick, with a striking side profile that virtually disappears.

Podcast subscriptions

Apple unveiled Apple podcasts Subscriptions, a global marketplace for listeners to discover premium subscriptions offered by their favorite creators along with millions of free shows on Apple Podcasts.

Starting in May, listeners in more than 170 countries and regions can subscribe to premium subscriptions that include a variety of benefits selected by creators, such as ad-free listening, access to additional content, and early or exclusive access to new series.

iPad Pro with M1 chip

New iPhone 12 variant: purple

Apple today unveiled a striking new purple finish for iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini. This new color beautifully accentuates the flat aluminum edges of the iPhone 12, which perfectly matches the precision-milled rear glass.

The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini in purple will be available for pre-order starting Friday, April 23, and will be available starting Friday, April 30.

AirTag

Apple has introduced AirTag which is a small, elegantly designed accessory that helps you track and find the items that matter most with Apple’s Find My app.


Whether attached to a purse, keys, backpack, or other items, AirTag leverages the vast global Find My network and can help locate a lost item, all while keeping location data private and anonymous with end-to-end encryption.
AirTag can be purchased in one and four packages for just $ 29 and $ 99, respectively, and will be available starting Friday, April 30.
